We are Singing at Convention!

This week the choirs received a BIG honor!  They have been asked to sing at this year’s OCHEC convention!  It has been years since we have received this honor and are SUPER excited.  This will involve all Principio, Illuminati and Bella Voce students so please mark your calendars now for Friday and/or Saturday mornings of May 4th and 5th.  Please read below for the details.

The Schedule

Friday

8:30 a.m.  Today’s event involves Bella Voce Only.

9:00 a.m.  Bella Voce leads the attendees in worship at the opening ceremony.

9:30 a.m.  Bella Voce students will be dismissed.

Saturday

8:45 a.m.  Bella Voce, Illuminati, and Principio students arrive at Cox Convention Center to warm up in front of the Thunder Ticket Booth.

9:30 a.m.  Our students perform for the Donuts for Dads/Muffins for Moms event

10:00 a.m  Students will be dismissed.  Parents can pick up their students in front of the Thunder Ticket booth.

The Details

• All students should wear their formal uniform for the performances.  Students attending convention after the performances are encouraged to wear their choir shirts throughout the day.
• Parents must pay for the convention to enter the convention hall where the students are performing.  All parents not wanting to attend convention are welcome to wait for their students outside the convention hall free of charge.  You can learn more about and/or register for convention here.
• Can’t attend?  Please let your child’s choral director know THIS WEEK if your child will not be able to perform with us at convention.  We hope EVERYONE can attend as we are only a choir when our members are present, but we understand that you may have previous engagements that you cannot get out of at this time.  Thank you for your promptness in letting us know ASAP so that we can re-distribute parts, if needed.

Don’t Forget This Week’s Rehearsal Schedule

Just a friendly reminder, there are no rehearsals in Norman or OKC this week.  Instead, every location is meeting at First Baptist Church, Edmond on April 18th to prepare for upcoming events.  The schedule for the day will be as follows:

Men’s Clinic (Bella Voce and Illuminati men only)  12:15 p.m. to 12:45 p.m.

Illuminati (11 yrs to 13 yrs), 1:00 p.m to 2:45 p.m.
Bella Voce (14 yrs to 18 yrs) 1:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.

Music Experience (5 yrs to 7 yrs), 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Principio (8 yrs to 10 yrs), 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Please use the south covered entrance on the backside of the church.  See you then!
