This week is concert week! It’s hard to believe it’s finally here! We are so proud of every student’s hard work and dedication this semester. We can’t wait to share the end product with you. The schedule for the day is still the same as shared on our calendar in January, but there are a few exciting details to help us make the next few days run extra smooth.
Monday
Monday is combined rehearsal day at First Baptist Church in Edmond on the corner of 33rd and Bryant Avenue. Please take the north entrance (not the usual south entrance) into the sanctuary for this combined rehearsal.
Attire: Casual uniform (blue jeans and t-shirts)
10-12 a.m. Principio and Music Experience Rehearsal
1-4 p.m. Illuminati and Bella Voce Rehearsal
Hanging out all day or just want to enjoy a meal out on the town? Eat lunch or supper on Monday at Johnnie’s Charcoal Broiler on the north side of 33rd Street between Boulevard and Broadway. Tell order taker you are there to support Central Oklahoma Homeschool Choirs, and they will donate 20% of your receipt to the choirs!
Tuesday
It’s concert day! While we encourage everyone to stay for both portions of the concert, here are the concert and call times for the evening.
Attire: Formal uniforms
6 p.m. Principio and Music Experience warm-up
6:30 p.m. Principio and Music Experience concert
7:00 p.m. Illuminati and Bella Voce warm-up
7:30 p.m. Illuminati and Bella Voce concert
Following the concert we will not meet again until August 27 so don’t forget to enroll now for 2018-2019!
We Are Hiring a Professional Videographer
This spring we have the special opportunity to get DVD’s of the spring concert created by a professional videographer. Rick from Lifetime Video in Edmond will be recording the program using two different angles and top-notch equipment to create a very special keepsake for your family (note that this is the first time in many years that we have had a professional video created). DVDs will be $25 and the price includes shipping to your house so you don’t have to worry about picking them up somewhere later! To order, please bring a completed order form to the concert Tuesday evening. A table will be set up in the lobby where you can turn in your order form before and/or after the concert.
