Registration is Closed

Registration for the 2018-2019 school is now closed.  If you know of someone who would like to still be involved in the choirs though, be sure to have them sign up for our wait list so that they will be the first to know when registration opens again or a spot becomes available.

Medical Release Forms Needed

A few of you (especially those who were absent this week) were unable to turn in their medical release forms.  Please, please, please turn in your forms THIS WEEK to your choral director.  Your choral director MUST have them at the next rehearsal for your child participate in the next rehearsal.  You can download one here.

T-shirts–Did you get yours?

Every students should have received a t-shirt last week at choir rehearsal.  If your child did not receive a shirt, please contact Kathy Gossen ASAP (admin@centralokhomeschoolchoirs.com) so that she can have a shirt ready for your child at rehearsal next week.  After September 10, we will assume that all students have their choir shirts.

Some have asked if there will be additional t-shirt sales later in the school year.  The short answer is yes–probably in December.  If you are looking for specialty shirts you can also check out our Zazzle store.  I cannot guarantee the same softness as those of our 2018-2019 t-shirts, but they are well-rated shirts in a variety of designs including hoodies, long-sleeve, and onesies.  You can even customize the color of the shirt to what you like best. Want something special like a 2018-2019 baseball cap?  Ask Kathy nicely and she might even add it to the store for you.  All orders are done online and shipped directly to you.  Just be on the lookout for frequent coupons.  For example, right now LABORDAY1ZAZ  gets you 20% off!

Audition Opportunities

Principio and Illuminati Students:

Once again, here is the CTSWS/Children’s All-State Honor Choir Information and Permission Slip (totally optional).  If your child is interested in auditioning for either of these groups, please return this permission slip to your choral director by September 26th.  If you will fill out the student information, we will fill out the teacher information.  Also, please keep the voice part blank on the signature form.

Note: There is a $5 audition fee (I know it says $10 on the backside official form, but for COHC it’s only $5)  which you will be billed after the audition.  You can also access the honor choir audition mp3s here.  If you are not sure which tracks your child should be practicing, feel free to ask your choral director for help.

Illuminati and Bella Voce Students:

Calling all interested  Illuminati and Bella Voce students! You were introduced to our new (no charge) small performance group, Acapella Ambassadors, at orientation earlier this week and now is your chance to audition.  Please click here to learn more and sign-up for an audition time on Thursday, September 6 or Friday, September 7.

Door Monitors Still Needed

Thanks again to all the Edmond and Norman parents who signed up to monitor the doors during rehearsal*.  These two locations have unmanned doors, and this just helps ensure the safety of our students.  We still have several times unmanned at this time, so if you haven’t signed up yet for a spot and/or you could sign up for another one or two, please do so via the links below.  And thank you!

NO REHEARSALS THIS WEEK–OKC ONLY

Due to Labor Day, there are no rehearsals in OKC this week.  Don’t worry though, you make it up later in the semester.  😉  We look forward to seeing you again on September 10th!  Edmond and Norman–regular rehearsals continue this week.  See you there!
