Heartland Music Festival
(All Illuminati & Bella Voce Students)
Heartland Music Festival is Saturday, April 23rd. The day will be divided into two parts. Make sure you are signed up online for text reminders for up to the minute details.
MORNING- REQUIRED PERFORMANCE for Illuminati & Bella Voce
LOCATION: Putnam City North High School, 11800 N. Rockwell, Oklahoma City (exact meeting location to be given the week before)
WHAT TO WEAR: Your dark blue COHC t-shirt, nice blue jeans, and comfortable shoes
SCHEDULE:
9:10 am- Bella Voce students arrive
10:00 am- Bella Voce performance (Parents may attend the performance. No admission is charged.)
9:50 am- Illuminati students arrive
10:40- Illuminati performance (Parents may attend the performance. No admission is charged.)
AFTERNOON- OPTIONAL SOCIAL ACTIVITY for Illuminati & Bella Voce
RSVP Required
After the performance, students are encouraged to go to Frontier City to spend the afternoon socializing with their friends! (Due to COVID, there will be no awards ceremony at Frontier City this year.)
DROP OFF: 12:00 noon at the Frontier City main entrance (Frontier City has a drop-off zone so you do not have to pay for parking)
PICK UP TIME: 6:00 pm at the Frontier City main entrance
TRANSPORTATION: Parents are responsible for transporting to and from Frontier City.
COST: Pre-paid reduced priced park tickets for $20 are available for purchase through COHC/Heartland Music Fest (Ticket price at Frontier City is $51.99). Students wishing to purchase tickets will need to pre-pay no later than Wednesday, April 20th. See RSVP form for details. (If a student has a season pass it can be used for entrance to the park.) There is a parking fee of $10 at Frontier City.
WHAT TO WEAR: Students must wear their choir t-shirt throughout the day at Frontier City. Students are allowed to change into shorts as long as they follow the COCH dress code (see Member Handbook).
GROUPS: COHC staff will organize our students into small groups of approximately 6 students per group.
PARENT CHAPERONES:
- * Illuminati parents: We will need parent chaperones to stay with each Illuminati group in order to maintain a safe adult/student ratio.
- * Bella Voce parents: We also need one adult chaperone for Bella Voce students on site. This sponsor may find an air conditioned building to post up and be available for Bella Voce students to occasionally check in. This chaperone is not required to walk around with the Bella Voce students.
- * Chaperone Frontier City tickets will be covered by COHC.
- * Sign up to be a chaperone via the RSVP link below.

Where? Baptist Temple (2433 NW 30th St, OKC)
Which door do I enter? Please enter the north facing door that is labeled “sanctuary”. If you need handicap accessible entry, please call or text Minda upon arrival (325-513-4018).
Where do I go when I get into the church building? All choirs need to go to their choir’s designated warm-up room. There will be choir-specific direction signs posted upon arrival.
What do I wear? Students are asked to wear their INFORMAL UNIFORM to the rehearsal. This includes your navy choir t-shirt, dark blue jeans, and closed toed shoes. We will be taking some photographs during this time.
Do I need to bring anything? All Principio, Illuminati, and Bella Voce students need to bring their choir music to the dress rehearsal.
The schedule for the day will be as follows:
Music Experience (5 yrs to 7 yrs), 11:00 a.m. to Noon
Principio (8 yrs to 10 yrs), 10:00 a.m. to Noon
Lunch Break, Noon to 1:00 pm
Music Experience/Principio dismissed
Illuminati (11 yrs to 13 yrs), 1:00 p.m to 3:00 p.m.
Bella Voce (14 yrs to 18 yrs) 1:00 p.m to 3:00 p.m.
Mandatory
When: Tuesday, May 10th
- – 6:15pm. All choirs warm-up.
- – 7:00pm. Concert
Where: Baptist Temple (2433 NW 30th St, OKC)
What do I wear? Students are asked to wear their FORMAL UNIFORM to the rehearsal. This is the uniform you wore for uniform check. See here for details. Please- no perfume or body sprays.
Do I need to bring anything? All Principio, Illuminati, and Bella Voce students need to bring their choir music to the concert.
Where do I park? The parking lot is on the north side of the building.
Which door do I enter? Please enter the north facing door that is labeled “sanctuary”. If you need handicap accessible entry, please call or text Laura upon arrival (405-503-9990).
Where do I go when I get into the church building? All choir students need to go to their choir’s designated warm-up room. All audience members may enter the sanctuary to wait for the concert.
